The B-1 version of this construction was equipped with two French Gnome-Rhône 14M engines, which significantly improved independent operational capabilities compared to the Go 242 glider. This model represents the most recognizable variant, which served in the Luftwaffe during World War II, mainly on the southern front – in North Africa, Greece, and the Balkans (years of service: 1942-1943, World War II).
