Aber 35L-341 Lufa do niemieckiej wczesnej haubicy samobieżnej StuH 42G / German 105 mm eFH 18 L/28 Barrel for StuH 42, Ausf. G Early 1/35

Aber 35L-341 is a high-quality metal barrel designed for 1/35 scale models, faithfully recreating the German early self-propelled howitzer Sturmhaubitze 42 (StuH 42), which was mounted on the chassis of the iconic Panzer IV in the Ausf. G version. This product is intended primarily for reconstructing the StuH 42 model in its early armament configuration – that is, with the 105 mm leFH 18 L/28 barrel.

StuH 42 (Sturmhaubitze 42) was a German self-propelled howitzer widely used during World War II. The vehicle entered service in mid-1942 and remained in use until the end of the war in 1945, providing essential artillery support on both the Eastern and Western fronts. The StuH 42 was based on the robust Panzer IV Ausf. G chassis, and its main armament was the 105 mm leFH 18 L/28 howitzer. Self-propelled howitzers of this type were used by German forces during, among others, the Battle of Kursk and the fighting in Hungary.

The presented StuH 42 barrel by Aber is made of top-quality, precisely machined brass, which ensures outstanding durability and perfect reproduction of details – such as the muzzle or the characteristic barrel profile. By using a metal barrel, modelers can significantly increase the realism of their model and avoid typical flaws found in plastic barrels (like mold seam lines or uneven surfaces).

  • Scale: 1/35 – compatible with popular plastic model kits of the StuH 42 Ausf. G (e.g., Dragon, Tamiya, Trumpeter, Italeri, and Revell)
  • Country of original user: Germany (Wehrmacht)
  • Period of use: World War II (1942–1945)
  • Material: precisely machined brass
  • Category: modeling accessories, metal barrel for scale model kits
  • Assembly difficulty: 2/5 (recommended basic experience with modeling accessories)

Aber 35L-341 is recommended for both advanced and intermediate modelers who expect the highest level of detail and want to take their models to a new level of realism. Its outstanding quality and excellent dimensional accuracy make this product especially recommended for any enthusiast of World War II armored weapons history.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
