Historical Description

The MG34 machine gun is a legendary automatic weapon of the German army, introduced into service in 1934 and widely used during World War II. It was the world’s first general-purpose machine gun, utilized both as an infantry weapon, a vehicle armament, and as a heavy support weapon. The MG34 became famous for its remarkably high rate of fire and its versatility of use. It saw action on all fronts: from the Poland campaign, through France, to the Eastern Front and North Africa. This rifle remained in service throughout the entire war – until the end of 1945, and was subsequently used by many other countries in the postwar period.

Set and Build Quality

  • Very high level of detail allows for realistic reproduction of the weapon and its mechanisms
  • Perfect addition to 1/16 scale dioramas, vehicles, or for display as a standalone collectible model
  • The set does not include photo-etched parts or metal additions – the entire model is made of 3D printed resin

Who do we recommend it for?

We recommend this product for intermediate and advanced modelers who expect the highest build quality and maximum level of detail. Thanks to the excellent accuracy and delicate detailing, the model is a great addition to World War II vehicles or dioramas as well as a collectible display piece on its own.

1/16

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
