Aber 72A06 Osłony wieży do PzKpfw IV / Turret skirts for PzKpfw IV 1/72

Aber 72A06 is a set of dedicated turret skirts (Schürzen) designed for the German medium tank Panzerkampfwagen IV in 1/72 scale. These components are an essential addition to the PzKpfw IV model, allowing for the accurate recreation of one of the most important details of the vehicle used by the Wehrmacht during World War II. Historically, turret skirts were introduced between 1943 and 1945 as additional protection for tanks against anti-tank projectiles and infantry weapons, especially on the Eastern Front and during the fighting in Normandy.

The product is made from the highest quality thin brass sheet, maintaining scale thickness and excellent rivet and embossing details unattainable with plastic parts. The set contains all necessary parts to replicate the complete turret skirt, including brackets and small details. Parts are precisely cut using photo-etching technology, providing the finished model with much greater realism and historical detail accuracy than basic plastic kits.

The product is intended for all modelers building German PzKpfw IV tanks in 1/72 scale, especially those looking to increase the realism and level of sophistication of their replica. The Aber set belongs to the “photo-etched parts” category for 1/72 scale plastic models. Installation of the skirts is recommended for modelers who already have some experience working with small, delicate parts and gluing metal details – we rate the difficulty at 3 on a five-point scale.

  • Scale: 1/72
  • Country of use: Third Reich, Germany
  • Historical period: World War II, 1943–1945
  • Material: photo-etched brass
  • Contents: Complete turret skirt set with details
  • Category: photo-etched parts, modeling accessories
  • Difficulty level: 3/5
  • Intended for intermediate and advanced modelers

The Aber 72A06 product is an excellent choice for those who want to give their PzKpfw IV model even greater realism and authenticity. We recommend this set to all fans of German armored vehicles and enthusiasts of accurately replicating historical armored vehicles.

Scale
1/72

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
