History of the Mastiff 2 Vehicle

The Mastiff 2 6x6 is a modernized version of the Force Protection Cougar armored patrol vehicle, adopted by the United Kingdom as part of stabilization missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mastiff 2 has been primarily used by the British Army and the Royal Air Force since around 2007 (the modern era), proving itself as a robust transport vehicle for infantry units, providing excellent protection against improvised explosive devices (IEDs), mines, and small arms fire.
