Historical description:
The M7 Priest was designed in 1942 as a response to the needs of the US Army for mobile artillery to support the offensive. The use of the M3 Lee tank chassis shortened design and implementation time. Its distinctive feature was the M1A2 105 mm howitzer and a .50 caliber machine gun position located on a separate platform—which led to the nickname "Priest," referring to a church pulpit. The M7 Priest was widely used on all European fronts by American and British forces, as well as during the Korean War.

Advantages of the Airfix 1368 M7 Priest 1/35 model:

  • Precisely reproduced weaponry, turret, and suspension components
  • Clear surface details on the hull and vehicle interior
  • The 1/35 scale allows for the creation of realistic dioramas and battle scenes
  • Excellent base for further modeling customization and weathering

Recommendation and difficulty level:
This model is recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers who wish to expand their collection with a proven armored vehicle from the World War II era. Due to the number of parts and the need for precise assembly and painting, the recommended difficulty level is 4/5.

Airfix 1368 M7 Priest 1/35 is not only a perfect addition to any armored vehicle collection but also a unique model illustrating cutting-edge technical solutions and the military history of the Allies.

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
