Historical information about the A-7D Corsair II

The A-7D Corsair II is an American attack aircraft, designed by Ling-Temco-Vought and used primarily by the US Air Force. Thanks to its reliability and versatility, the aircraft was widely used from the late 1960s to the 1980s, especially during the armed conflicts of the Cold War era. The A-7D version was adapted for use by the US Air Force, being responsible for close air support and attack missions.

Aircraft of this type took part, among others, in combat over Vietnam and during various crises in the Middle East. They were renowned for their precise armament and state-of-the-art avionics solutions for their time.

Aires 7141 set details

The set is made of resin, thanks to which the parts are very detailed, greatly surpassing standard details offered in plastic model kits. In addition, the manufacturer included photo-etched parts for finishing the smallest cockpit details, such as pilot seatbelts, gauges, control sticks, and display panels. The complete set allows for a realistic cockpit interior effect, faithfully reproducing even the smallest details of the original aircraft.

The enhancement includes seats, instrument panel, side control panels, control stick, as well as photo-etched details for seat belts and small cockpit elements. Assembling the set requires basic modelling skills, particularly in working with resin and delicate photo-etched parts.

Recommendation and difficulty level

The Aires 7141 set is dedicated to intermediate and advanced modellers (difficulty level: 3/5). It is ideal as an addition to the collection for those building realistic replicas of Cold War military aircraft. The high quality and accuracy make it a recommended product for every fan of detailed aircraft modelling – it allows you to take the detail level of your A-7D Corsair II model to the next level!
