The Polikarpov Po-2 (U-2) was one of the most widely produced biplane trainer and liaison aircraft in the world. Developed in the Soviet Union in 1928, it gained renown for its remarkable versatility – ranging from pilot training to reconnaissance missions, and even ground attack flights, such as the famous "night witches" raids during World War II. After the war, the Po-2 continued to serve, including in Poland, where the CSS-13 version was built at WSK Okęcie and used until the 1950s.
