Historical description of the model
Dragon 7409 Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.J Early Production 1/72 represents the last production variant of the most important German medium tank of World War II. The Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. J is an early production series example, distinguished by a simplified drive system and a modified ammunition and fuel storage system. This variant entered production in 1944, in response to the need for faster manufacturing and easier servicing. It formed the backbone of the armored divisions of the Third Reich until the end of the conflict.

The Ausf. J version was used by Germany from the second half of 1944 until the capitulation in May 1945. It took part in all the final campaigns – the Battle of Normandy, combat on the Eastern Front, in the Balkans, and in the defense of the Reich. The Panzer IV Ausf.
