Eduard 35548 Sd. Kfz.222 1/35 set for Tamiya model

We offer a high-quality Eduard 35548 photo-etched set for the Sd. Kfz.222 model in 1/35 scale, dedicated to models from the renowned company Tamiya. This set, produced by the Czech manufacturer Eduard—known for precision and top-quality modeling accessories—allows for advanced detailing of the German armored car Sd. Kfz.222 from World War II.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Material: photo-etched parts (metal, usually brass)
  • Manufacturer: Eduard
  • Dedicated to: Tamiya models – Sd. Kfz.222
  • The set includes 3 richly etched sheets of photo-etched parts
  • Original vehicle user country: Third Reich (Germany)
  • Historical period: World War II (1939–1945)
  • Category: Plastic model accessories, photo-etched upgrades

The Sd. Kfz.222 was a light armored car used by the German army during campaigns in Europe, Africa, and on the Eastern Front. Equipped with a turret featuring a 20 mm autocannon, it provided mobility and firepower for Wehrmacht reconnaissance units. The original vehicles were intensely used from the very beginning of the war in 1939 until its end in 1945.

The Eduard 35548 photo-etched set enables you to recreate details difficult to achieve with plastic parts, such as handles, protective grills, hatch locks, or interior elements. Finely reproduced interior and exterior details guarantee enhanced realism and collector's value for any model. All parts are very precisely laser-cut and ensure a perfect fit.

The product is aimed at intermediate and advanced modelers (difficulty level 4/5) who want to enrich their Tamiya model with details consistent with archival photos of the actual vehicle. Assembly requires clippers for cutting, cyanoacrylate glue, and a bit of patience.

We highly recommend the Eduard 35548 set to all enthusiasts of military history and scale modeling who aim for a professional level of World War II vehicle model execution.

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
