Eduard 8185 Fw 190D-11/D-13 in 1/48 scale is a high-quality plastic model kit depicting one of the most advanced versions of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter from World War II. The set, produced by the Czech manufacturer Eduard, is renowned for its detailed reproduction and numerous building options aimed at demanding modelers.

Aircraft History

The Fw 190D-11 and D-13 are among the final variants of the well-known German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter introduced into service toward the end of World War II. Produced for the Luftwaffe, this aircraft was designed for high-altitude combat; it was equipped with a more powerful Jumo 213 engine and new armament. Used by Germany mainly from autumn 1944 until the end of the war, the Fw 190D played a significant role in defending the Reich from Allied bombing raids and fighting on the Western Front. The D-11 and D-13 variants featured, among other things, different armament configurations and new technical solutions enhancing the aircraft's performance.

Scale
1/48

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
