History of the Fokker T.V

The Fokker T.V is a twin-engine medium-range bomber, designed and manufactured by the Dutch Fokker company just before the outbreak of World War II. The prototype’s maiden flight took place in 1937, with aircraft entering service in the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Netherlands Air Force) shortly before the German invasion of the Netherlands in May 1940. The Fokker T.V was designed with two Bristol Pegasus engines and a distinctive glazed, stepped nose section for the bombardier. These bombers saw active use during the desperate defense of the Netherlands in 1940, attacking bridges and German armored columns, demonstrating their military significance at the very onset of the conflict.
