Eduard 73653 Tu-128M 1/72 (dedicated for TRUMPETER)

The Eduard 73653 Tu-128M 1/72 photo-etched set was created especially for the Tu-128M bomber-interceptor model in 1/72 scale, produced by Trumpeter. This is a precisely engineered modeling accessory, an excellent enhancement to the standard plastic kit, allowing you to build an extremely detailed miniature of the largest serial interceptor in aviation history.

The Tu-128M (NATO reporting name: "Fiddler") is a Soviet supersonic jet interceptor from the Cold War era. Developed by the Tupolev design bureau in the 1950s and 1960s, it entered service in 1961 and served with the USSR Air Force until the late 1980s. The Tu-128's main task was to patrol the vast northern territories of the USSR and intercept potential targets, such as American strategic bombers. The Eduard set makes it possible to replicate many specific details of the "M" version, including the instrument panel, seats, and radar systems.

Main product features:

  • Parts made from high-quality photo-etched metal
  • Richly detailed instrument panel and seat belts
  • Parts to upgrade, among others, the cockpit, seats, landing gear, and fuselage details
  • Compatibility dedicated to the Trumpeter Tu-128M 1/72 scale plastic model
  • Allows for a significant increase in model realism thanks to precise details

Category: Photo-etched accessory set for plastic scale model kits.
Material: Photo-etched metal sheet (brass/stainless steel).

Recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers who want to raise the realism level of their model. Assembly difficulty: 4/5 – requires precision and skill in working with small, delicate parts. Especially recommended for Soviet aviation enthusiasts and modelers wishing to faithfully replicate Cold War era aircraft.

The Eduard 73653 set is a guarantee of excellent quality and historical accuracy, giving the Tu-128M model a unique appearance and a wealth of detail unattainable with the standard kit. Highly recommended for all collectors and advanced military aviation modeling enthusiasts.

Scale
1/72

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
