Historical description

The UE-sWG model represents an unusual vehicle used by German forces during World War II, especially from 1942 onwards. After capturing and requisitioning large amounts of French military equipment, the Wehrmacht used the chassis of lightweight Renault UE tractors for many experimental conversions. One of the most interesting modifications was the installation of powerful 28/40 cm rocket-launching mortars ("Schweres Wurfgerät 40/28"), renowned for their great firepower and versatility on the Eastern front, as well as during urban combat, e.g. at Stalingrad.

These types of constructions were used throughout the second half of World War II. The version presented here is both an interesting historical exhibit and a unique subject for military modelers.

Detailed kit description

  • High quality details, faithful reproduction of the launcher and Renault UE chassis
  • Precise decals with original German Wehrmacht markings
  • Clear assembly instructions to guide even less experienced modelers through the build
  • Optional armament components and detailing parts

Who is this kit recommended for?

The kit is intended for intermediate and advanced modelers interested in unusual World War II vehicles, as well as for enthusiasts of German military history. It is a treat for collectors of unique kits and a great addition to battlefield dioramas.

Assembly difficulty level: 3/5 – the kit requires the precise assembly of many small parts and careful painting.

If you value high quality, historical accuracy and unique modeling topics – Mirage Hobby 355018 UE-sWG 40/28 cm Wk Spr is a choice that will meet your expectations.
