IJN Haguro was one of four Myōkō-class heavy cruisers built for the Imperial Japanese Navy in the 1920s. Haguro actively participated in combat in the Pacific, including in the Battle of Leyte and supply operations in the Philippines and Burma. Ultimately, it was sunk in May 1945 during the Battle of the Malacca Strait by British Royal Navy ships.
