Aber 35L-124 Barrel for Russian 14,5mm heavy machine gun KPVT (1/35)

Aber 35L-124 is a precisely manufactured metal barrel designed for 1:35 scale models of the Russian KPVT 14.5 mm heavy machine gun. This product is dedicated primarily to modelers who strive for the highest level of detail accuracy and realism in miniatures of armored vehicles or sets from the Cold War and modern periods.

KPVT (Krupnokaliberny Pulemyot Vladimirova Tankovy) is a Soviet large-caliber machine gun developed in the second half of the 1940s by Sergei Vladimirov. The 14.5 mm weapon was widely used by Soviet forces and numerous armies of Warsaw Pact countries from the 1950s until today, mounted in, among others, BTR-60/70/80 armored personnel carriers, BRDM carriers, as well as being used as anti-aircraft armament. The KPVT stood out for its tremendous firepower, effective range, and ability to pierce light armor, vehicles, and low-flying targets. These weapons saw action in Middle Eastern conflicts, Afghanistan, and various military operations across the former Soviet Union.

The Aber 35L-124 barrel is made from high-grade brass, which ensures its durability and outstanding manufacturing precision. Thanks to the use of metal, this product perfectly recreates both the dimensions and characteristic perforations at the end of the KPVT barrel, making it an excellent replacement for the simplified plastic parts from model kits. Used as a replacement in models from manufacturers such as Trumpeter, Zvezda, and Tamiya, it significantly enhances the level of detail of the replica, allowing for a highly realistic appearance of the armament.

  • Category: metal model gun barrel (upgrade for plastic 1/35 kits)
  • Scale: 1/35
  • Material: high-quality brass
  • Additions: precisely machined tip, reproduced vent holes
  • Historical period: Cold War, modern times
  • User countries: USSR, Russia, Eastern Bloc countries, export nations

  • Assembly difficulty: 2/5 – recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers

We highly recommend the Aber 35L-124 product to all modelers who care about the most accurate detailing and military realism. Perfect for dioramas, recreations of 20th and 21st-century conflict scenes, and for enthusiasts of Russian armored vehicles. The barrel is easy to install in models and does not require specialized tools. It greatly improves the final look of your model!

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
