Aber 350L-10 Set of 6 pcs 155 mm barrels for Japanese ships Yamato and Musashi (1/350)

The Aber 350L-10 set is a professional kit of six metal 155 mm barrels, dedicated to models of the famous Japanese Yamato-class battleships – Yamato and Musashi in a popular 1/350 scale. This product was created as a high-quality modeling accessory, enabling exceptionally precise reproduction of the historical details of the auxiliary artillery on these giants of the Imperial Japanese Navy.

The barrels are made from high-quality brass, which ensures remarkable attention to detail, optimal durability, and perfectly reproduced geometry. These elements are a much better alternative to the plastic originals included in most model kits, providing a realistic final effect. Each barrel has been precisely machined (turned), giving it an authentic shape and characteristic ventilation holes, faithfully representing the appearance of the real Type 3 155 mm guns.

The Yamato and Musashi ships – the largest battleships in the world during World War II – were operated by Japan during historic naval battles in the Pacific, including the Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944. The 155 mm auxiliary artillery, for which the Aber barrels are dedicated, played a key role in defense against smaller surface vessels and providing supporting fire.

  • Scale: 1/350
  • User country: Japan
  • Historical period: World War II (years 1941–1945)
  • Material: precision-cut and turned brass
  • Number of parts in the set: 6 pieces of 155 mm barrels
  • Category: metal modeling accessories (metal gun barrels)
  • Use: replacement for plastic barrels in standard model kits

I highly recommend this product both to experienced ship modelers and intermediate hobbyists seeking exceptional realism and perfect finishing for their model. Assembly requires care, but is not overly complicated – difficulty level: 2/5. Aber barrels will enhance the appeal of any Yamato or Musashi model, allowing you to enjoy collector-level historical accuracy!

Scale
1/350

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
