Tamiya 35284 French Armored Carrier UE is a precision plastic assembly model in 1:35 scale, representing the light French tracked vehicle Renault UE, used by the French Army during World War II. The Renault UE (also known as Chenillette de ravitaillement d’infanterie) was one of the most distinctive light armored carriers of the period prior to the 1940 invasion of France. More than 5,000 units were produced and it was widely used on the Western Front, including during the French campaign in May–June 1940. After France's capitulation, these vehicles were also taken over by the Germans and used as ammunition carriers, reconnaissance vehicles, and chassis for self-propelled guns.
